The location of this hotel is simply stunning. In the summer the hotel has an award winning flower display of exuberant colour. Such a delight.
One of the best features about the Bay Hotel is that it is sited opposite one of the most magnificent beaches on Jersey (and often voted into the Top Ten beaches in Britain!). You will never tire of gazing out at the constantly changing vista. It is beautifully sandy and kept very clean, with the usual beach-side amenities you'd expect – loungers, deck chairs, wind-breaks, cabanas – and has a selection of eateries, ice-cream kiosk and shop, as well as public conveniences. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, fabulous sea view, fantastic service, live music and delicious food
While this hotel (and indeed most places in Jersey) seem pricey it is well worth the money. The sea views across the bay are stunning Drinks on the terrace overlooking the bay and a wonderful lunch.
The hotel has its own private access to the beach, via a set of steps (not too steep, even for the very young and not-so-young guests). This is across the road from the hotel, through the gated, private gardens (which now have tables set for evening drinks) and past the dolphin statue.
At the St. Brelade’s Hotel, guests are expected to dress for dinner, with gentlemen wearing a jacket. The elegant dining room is a traditional, wood-panelled affair with a grand piano and occasional music. This is most definitely fine dining, complete with swish décor and enticing menu A La Carte or set menu.
It is a delight to experience 'silver service' and sit in a traditional dining room. The restaurant staff are friendly, warm and professional: nothing was too much trouble. The customer service takes you back twenty years and the food and attention to detail explains why they have such a high level of returning clients
The St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel truly stands out for quality ingredients, smart service, a stunning location and a chef with a vision for delivering first class food. Definitely worth a visit. We will return.
