Greenhills is a granite, country house hotel, nestled in a peaceful, rural setting in the Parish of St. Peter. Luxurious and comfortable it offers the highest standards of service. Loads of parking spaces and a gorgeous, award winning, display of bedding plants in the summer. A feast for the eyes.

Surrounded by a network of country lanes, this is an intimate and exclusive hotel for quiet contemplation. The staff were sprightly, friendly and guided us to our room.

Our comfortable bedroom was extremely large, and looked onto the small pool. The gardens are wonderful. Our room was homely and comfortable, with a charming, faintly old-fashioned air. It had a well-dressed bed, an armchair, lots of storage; an efficient bathroom.

Extensively and beautifully refurbished, there are portraits on panelled walls, low sofas and armchairs with an open fire. We gathered for pre-dinner drinks in the fire-lit lounge and sat by the fire. A cosy, romantic delight. It is very obvious why this hotel ticks all the boxes. It’s a real treat to stay here.

All the food was exceptional. Dinner? a limited selection on the menu, but beautifully cooked. The dining room was warm and the service was excellent. In the restaurant, the ‘high-quality’ breakfast, serves a wide selection of tempting hot and cold breakfast dishes’. One niggle: the bar was left unattended after dinner and we had to track down a member of staff in the kitchen to be served. I could have helped myself to a large vodka and tonic. Obviously didn’t. That is the extent of my criticism and says it all.

Whether you're planning a fabulous wedding or just looking for a weekend break, Greenhills, is a thoroughbred that delivers on its 4-star promise. As for its country house credentials, it's been around for centuries and in its present incarnation, is one of Jersey’s most fashionable and popular hotels.

Greenhills has managed to upstage the competition rather elegantly and effortlessly. It offers consistently good food and great service, which makes a stay at Greenhills a great experience.
